Paul Walker’s Unfinished Chevy Camaro Z/28 Project Car Now Available

This remarkable 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS Z28 holds a special place in both automotive and Hollywood history, having been previously owned by the late Paul Walker and Roger Rodas. It is believed to be one of their final projects before their tragic passing. The car boasts a low odometer reading of just 22,639 miles, reflecting its well-preserved condition.

As a Z28 model equipped with the desirable Rally Sport (RS) package, this Camaro is a prime example of late 1960s muscle car excellence. It is an early production model, featuring unique characteristics such as the absence of a cowl hood and rear spoiler. The car retains its matching numbers driveline, underscoring its authenticity and value to collectors.

Originally finished in a weathered code 71 LeMans Blue, the exterior exudes classic appeal, complemented by the black bucket seat interior. The car rides on original Z28 Rally wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Notable exterior features include an Endura front bumper and a chrome rear bumper with bumper guards, enhancing its vintage look.

The Camaro’s provenance is well-documented and illustrious. It was initially purchased new from Martens Chevrolet in Reedley, California. In 1982, it was acquired by noted Chevrolet collector Merle Duprey. Years later, it caught the attention of Paul Walker and Roger Rodas, who purchased it and later sold it back to Duprey in 2013. The car’s journey continued to Solo Speed Shop, where it remains a cherished piece of history. Supporting documentation includes a Camaro Hi-Performance Report ordered by Walker and Rodas, as well as its inclusion in Paul Walker’s inventory report.
