For 1950, two Cadillac vehicles were readied for the 24 hour race at LeMans, France. One remained a virtually stock Cadillac with modifications only to the intake system, brakes and shocks.
The other was rebodied by Bill Frick of Fordillac fame at his long island, New York shop… along with some assistance from Grumman Aircraft Corporation engineers. This car-which is the rebodied model-was dubbed LeMonstre by the French motoring press.
