Designed in 1963, the Corvair Monza SS was equipped with a rear-mounted, six-cylinder air-cooled Corvair engine that featured six carburetors and a modified exhaust system that exits through special side outlets.
Constructed of fiberglass, the Monza SS was nearly 16 inches shorter than the standard Corvair. Headlights are concealed and the rear fin behind the driver includes a built-in roll bar. The steeply reclined, contoured seats are non-adjustable however, all pedals can be adjusted fore and aft for the individual driver.
